The American Institute for Contemporary German Studies (AICGS) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan 501(c)(3) organization located in Washington, DC. Affiliated with Johns Hopkins University, AICGS is a policy research center dedicated to better understanding the challenges and choices facing Germany and the United States in the broader global arena.
Since 1983, AICGS has produced objective and original analyses of developments and trends in Germany, Europe, and the United States; created new transatlantic networks among changing generations; and intensified dialogue among the business, political, and academic communities to manage differences and define and promote common interests.
Our work would not be possible without the support we receive from individuals, corporations, foundations, and government agencies. We invite you to support AICGS and partner with us in strengthening the German-American relationship, a relationship that is vital not only for the future well-being of both countries, but for the world as it strives to foster peace and prosperity. U.S. policy should stress a close relationship with Germany, not only as friends and trading partners, but also as allies sharing common institutions.
Your support means you will help play a role in examining the critical issues facing the U.S. and Germany. With our comprehensive program of policy-relevant public conferences, research reports, networking events, and fellowships, AICGS provides the knowledge, insights, and networks you need for the twenty-first century.
